Beloved friends, in this season of repentance and healing, we accept God’s invitation to be ever-mindful of the needs of others, offering our prayers on behalf of God’s community in the church and the world.

A brief silence.

Almighty God, keep the church from seeking after wealth and power; grant us leaders who will keep your Word always in front of our eyes. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Bless the land and water in this season of rest; and keep us hopeful as we look for the first signs of spring life. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Establish your justice in our systems of judgement and governance; guide the hearts and minds of those with great wealth that they use that wealth for the benefit of their neighbors. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Pour out your favor on all those who feel distant from you; surround them with loving support and care. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Grant healing to all who are suffering (especially,…); be at work through doctors, nurses, EMTs, and aides to bring comfort to all who need it. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
