Prayers of Intercession:

O Lord, our rock and our redeemer, let the prayers we now offer, both in voice and in the silence of our hearts, be acceptable to you.

A brief silence.

Unite the church with an undivided heart so that your name might be revered. Guide our Bishops (especially Presiding Bishop Eaton, and …) and grant them to know and trust in your steadfast love. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

Protect your works of creation, for none are like them. Strengthen us in our stewardship of all that you have made and grant healing where we have harmed the majesty of creation. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

You alone are God and you alone are worthy of our praise. Bring about your peace on earth until that time when all nations truly bow down before your glory. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

Out of your great mercy and steadfast love, you have delivered us from Sheol. Inspire in us that same mercy and love that we might reach out to others who find themselves trapped in hells of addiction, anxiety, or injustice. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

Your steadfast love for us is great and beyond compare. Help us to bear your love to all in pain, (especially…). Hear us, O God.Your mercy is great.

Here other intercessions may be offered.

We give thanks to you, O God, with our whole heart for our deliverance and for the deliverance of all who died in faith and now rest in you. We look for them time when we join with them in singing your glory. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

To you, gracious God, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your boundless mercy; through Jesus Christ, our Savior.

Amen.
